The Secret’s Out: It’s Alkaline Water

By Steve Marmor

Degenerative disease thrives in an acidic condition of the blood and body tissues. There has never been a time in our country’s history when we as a people have exhibited as much rampant and pervasive degenerative disease amongst our citizenry as is the case today.

There are many contributing factors as to why health problems develop and how to integrate rest, stress relief, exercise, proper eating and thinking, air quality and the water we drink as a means for improving our health.

This article’s primary emphasis will be on how alkaline, anti-oxidizing, oxygen-rich, super-hydrating water may support improved health.

In this country we seem to be moving, in many ways, in the wrong direction health-wise. Diabetes and cancer rates have doubled in the last 10 years. Two-thirds of the population is considered overweight or obese. Arthritis, gout, neuropathies, muddled thinking, low energy, sleep problems and poor digestion are widespread, to name several problems.

In 1931, an Austrian doctor, Otto Warburg, won the Nobel Prize for medicine. He showed that cancer cells do not survive in a highly alkaline, oxygen-rich (aerobic) environment, but they thrive in an acidic, oxygen deprived (anaerobic) environment. This is also true of microbes, bacteria, fungi and viruses.

One of the primary health tools used in Asia for more than 25 years are alkalizing, anti-oxidizing water ionizers. One in five households in Japan and one in eight households in South Korea have one. In those countries, these ionizers are classified as medical devices. In the U.S., water ionizers are virtually unknown and can only be referred to as producing excellent water. These water systems turn ordinary tap water into living, alkaline water that is oxygen-rich and super-hydrating. The ionizers won’t remain obscure for long. You will hear more and more about the relevance of proper pH in relieving oxidative stress and how important it is to maintain proper hydration for improved and even abundant health.

We cannot make claims. However, people who drink this ionized water – which replicates what nature does in only select locations around the world, places where people live the longest – will tell you they notice feel positive changes to their health within 10 days.

Typically, people have reported improved bowel function, sleep and energy; reduced sugar cravings; clearer thinking and more. They’re experiencing a nominal detox. Toxins, impurities and acids are being flushed from tissues throughout the body. Alkalizing douses the fire of caustic acids and will reduce inflammation, a major primary factor in disease and oxidization within the body.

We are alkaline by design but acidic by function. That means that optimal health is achieved when body tissues are bathed in an alkaline pH, between 7.20 and 7.45. Everything from thinking to breathing, heart action, activity and digestion produces metabolic waste products that are acidic and create oxidative stressors known as free radicals. The healthiest, longest-living people on the planet live in “blue zones,” where the water ranges in pH from 9.0 to 10.5. By drinking the water readily available in these places (including Lourdes, France, Pakistan’s Hunza mountains and Vilcabamba, Ecuador), these people are continually compensating for the body’s tendency to build up acidic residues that contribute to health problems.

It’s nice to know that learning some of this basic knowledge, which should be taught from an early age, is still possible and it can be used to support optimal health for the whole family.

After air quality, the most important factor in our health is the quality of the water we drink! There is substantial support for the idea that alkaline, anti-oxidizing, oxygen-rich, super-hydrating, ionized water merits a closer look. Drink this amazing water for seven to 10 days and experience enhanced vitality and a greater sense of well-being.
