The last part of our series on the life of a successful entrepreneur, the most important thing we need to know about adeptus health is that it is a system of being. You might be sick, and you might have to make a choice to get well, but you won’t ever be fully healthy. This doesn’t mean that there’s nothing worse than being sick. You can always be better, but you can’t be fully healthy in every sense.
I get asked a lot about being healthy, but the question I get asked the most often is “Do I have to take medication if I don’t take enough?”. And this is usually followed by someone telling me, “oh you’re not taking enough, you’re not being healthy”. Which isn’t fair, because if I want to get well, I need to take my medication.
This is just the case of people being wrong; everyone who is sick does need to take medicine, but it does not have to be a daily pill, it can be a pill more frequently than a daily pill, or a pill when you’re not getting enough. It’s okay if you don’t need it (sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t) or you’re not being sick enough (and even then it’s okay) to need medicine.
Youll also find that some people who are sick and suffering need to take medicine for some illness. Some people are allergic to something and need medicine to reduce symptoms, but it’s not all the time, its not always safe to take medicine, and you should check it with your doctor if you need to.
For some reason, some people believe that they need to take a daily pill to be healthy. I dont disagree that you need to take medicine every day if youve got something you dont want to loose. But I also dont think that you need to take medicine every day because youre sick or you need it. Most meds take away symptoms temporarily, and I could see how you could take medicine at night and not have it have an impact on your life. But its not always the case.
I was reading an article about the effectiveness of meds for cancer patients and how taking a pill once a day, once a day, and then once a week to keep from getting bored of it can actually make it easier for you to get through each day without being a zombie.
This is one of those cases where you need a little more information before you can say, “Hey, my friend’s taking aspirin and she’s really good at it.
Yes, as a general rule, taking a few pills at a time is often helpful in the sense that it gets your mind off of things. But as an example of what not to do, take this one. If you are looking at a pill bottle in a doctor’s office, chances are you’re not interested in what the pill label says about the medicine. It might even be the case that the doctor isn’t interested in learning about how the pill worked.
The same goes for your pill bottle. It is, however, a good idea to take a few pills with liquids and a few with dry powders. They seem to work better if you take a large bolus of pills at a time. And if you have a special medical condition that makes taking pills difficult, you can sometimes take a pill that is designed to work with your condition.
The health benefit from the adage is that it might help you feel better (e.g. if you have an ailment that makes it hard to take your pills, you might be able to take a pill designed to work with that ailment). But there are some serious side effects that can occur with taking these pills, so it is important to talk to your doctor before you start taking them.
