I just love how you can get a dog to yawn. It takes a lot of energy and attention to even yawn, but it’s a simple way to get a little something extra to do. It’s also a great way to get your dog to sit up in bed when you’re trying to get them to sleep.
There have been a few dogs who have been known to yawn while sleeping, so I guess that might not be a bad thing.
So this dog is sleeping, yawning, and then yawning again. I don’t think it’s quite as effective as a cat, but I love the idea.
I have a dog who goes through the entire process of yawning. Its so much fun, and I love how so many dogs yawn. I think Ive even written a post about it.

I’ve been accused of yawning too, and that can happen. For instance, I once read a post where a commenter said, “I’ve heard of people who yawn before they eat.” It’s also true that yawning is not as effective as it used to be because of the rise of snoring. A lot of people still yawn to fall asleep, but now most people do so while eating.
I have to confess I was guilty of yawning while eating too. I can’t remember what it is, but it is quite tasty. You can buy it in any pet store as it is a high protein diet and the kind of food you would want your dog to eat if your dog is prone to sleepwalking.
