I have a bunch of free yoga mats and some yoga bands, so I bought a set of regular yoga mats. I usually do my yoga in a room or at the studio, but I wanted to do some yoga outside. When I found out some yoga mats were just under $20 a pop and that you could get a set of yoga bands for $4, I decided to check out a couple of local studios.
I was in a local yoga studio one morning, and the first thing the instructor told us was that the mats were made from the same material as regular yoga mats. I was in high school when I first started doing yoga, but never really thought about the material differences between yoga mats and regular yoga mats.
