As we’ve seen with many Kickstarter projects, the funding process is a lot more complicated than the actual product itself.
Like many Kickstarter projects, we are seeking funds to manufacture the “final” product. However, there are a few details we need to do before we can provide you with the funds we need to produce the final product.
The primary funding mechanism for our Kickstarter campaign is a crowdfunding platform called Kickstarter.com. This is a website where people can pledge funds for a project and receive a reward in return. For the sake of simplicity we are using the crowdfunding platform to get the funds for the project that we need.
Currently we are using Kickstarter because of the ease that we can use. However, we are considering using more traditional funding sources like PayPal or Indiegogo. But, in the mean time, we are hoping to find a way to raise the funds without using Kickstarter. Also, we are looking for donations using the Paypal and Indiegogo donation buttons. We need your help to make our project a reality.
Kickstarter is the number one form of funding for indie games and entertainment projects, and we have found it to be a great way to get started. But, as with most things it isn’t quite easy. And, like many things Kickstarter, there are a million ways for someone to get in your way. However, we’ve found that the biggest challenge is getting the word out.
We are hoping to use the funds to make our website and social media presence much better. We have a small team of enthusiastic, motivated people who are all looking to do a great job and learn a lot from our project. We are also looking into a number of new web tools that will help us spread awareness of the project.
So if you aren’t already, please give us a try. We’ve got a number of new features in the works, and the Kickstarter campaign has already netted us $10,000. We’ll be updating the site and the kickstarter page frequently with the latest info.
We’re really excited about our upcoming projects and are looking forward to them all. But we’re also a little nervous because we’ve heard from a number of people who have expressed concerns about the project and have some suggestions to help us make it better. We invite you to share your thoughts with the Greater Hartsford Women’s Health team. We would love to hear what you have to say.
We invite you to tell us about it. We might be a bit biased though because we know some of our users. Also, be sure to ask your friends if they are interested in joining the team, we want this thing to be a community of like-minded people who actually care.
