Dogs love to play. They chase balls and tug and chase you around the house. They also love to play with other dogs. Sometimes they will even play with you. Drop it. Drop it. Drop it.
But before they play with you, they’ll play with other dogs. These dogs can be as simple as their owners’ dogs, or they may be quite advanced dogs who have developed various tricks. And sometimes I get asked if drop it is actually a training technique. The answer is yes. But it’s important to remember that training isn’t just about teaching your dog to drop it.
Drop it actually does the trick, but it’s not a trick. Drop it is a strategy that my dog developed for me to keep him away from my other dogs. I don’t know what other dogs were doing in the background while I was training drop it, but I do know that my dog had learned to do this trick in order to get me to stop playing with his other dogs.
That’s right. Drop it is a strategy for training your dog to not get jumped on by other dogs. The trick is to do it while they’re eating. Not just running over or jumping on them.

There are really two ways to do this. You can drop your dog while he’s eating or you can drop it while he’s eating. The first is a bit more challenging, so the trick is to get him to do it while he’s eating.
The problem is you can’t drop it while hes eating. If he’s not eating, thats all the dog wants to do is jump on you. The trick is to get him to drop it while hes eating.
The second way to train drop it is to make sure that your dog is eating before you put the food out. If you can do this you can train him to not get jumped on while hes eating. You can also have him grab the food and drop it himself. But the trick is to get him to drop it while hes eating. For a dog who loves food, this can be very challenging, but it is a strategy that works.
If you’re taking your dog for a walk, be sure to drop it on the ground as soon as you drop it. Your dog will be very excited and want to jump on you. You can also drop it if you have a dog doggie bag. Or if you have a dog that likes to go for a swim with you, try dropping it on the ground while you are taking a bath.
You can also drop it on the ground while you are brushing your teeth. I know that sounds crazy, but a dog with a bad attitude is very hard to train.
