A good example of this is supplements. Supplements can be taken without a doctor’s prescription, but they can also be harmful. The risks are numerous, and the amount that you can get down is very small. These days, you can get your vitamins from the grocery store or online. But you can also get these from your doctor, and you can also get them from a naturopath. The problem here is that you might get a bottle of a supplement that is 100% pure.
For example, suppose you have, say, 800 mg of folic acid. The supplement has a pure amount of folic acid of 40 mg. That means 40 mg can be absorbed and destroyed by the body in 1.8 billion years.
