Restoring behavioral health is the first step towards making sure that people make the kind of choices that will help them move forward in their lives.
Behavioral health can be defined as “the ability to effectively apply self-control”. So if you can’t make yourself do things that are good for you, it’s likely you’ll be making bad life choices.
In his book, “The Big Cure: The Ultimate Guide to Restoring Behavioral Health in the 21st Century,” Dr. William H. Harris of the Mayo Clinic says that the key to restoring health is to “stop all of the bad advice, bad behaviors, and bad decisions.” He goes on to say that the first step towards doing this is to recognize that you have a problem, and to realize that what you’re doing is causing harm.
I can understand how you can think that something is causing harm, but this is a problem that affects everyone. A problem that you have to recognize and fix if you’re going to be able to do anything about it.
This is why I think people need to learn to control their urges and compulsions. I’m not saying you have to turn off your phones or turn the lights off when you’re using your computer. But you might think about something like that.
This is good advice, especially for folks suffering from addiction. You don’t need to be spending the majority of your time in front of your computer screen. A little bit of mindfulness can help you to recognize when you might be spending too much time on an impulse. And I would absolutely recommend getting help for that if you see signs that you could be on that path.
You should definitely be doing something about your smartphone addiction. I know I am. And it can be hard to tell if you are or not, so I would recommend getting a therapist, or a coach, or whatever it is that you might need to do to turn off your urges.
My own personal habits that are contributing to my smartphone addiction are a recent addiction to the game Fortnite. I’ve played it for a little over a year now and it’s probably my favorite game ever. The game has a number of addictive qualities to it, but it’s my favorite because I can use it to help me stay on task. If I can’t do anything on my phone, it’s going to be a bad day.
Some people are addicted to their phones because they don’t have a lot of free time and so they need to do more of those things to keep up with the demands of their phones. I think the addiction to phone time stems from a feeling that it’s too easy to do things that involve their phones. If you have a lot of free time, you can easily use your phone as a distraction. The problem is that you lose control of how you use your phone.
The problem with too much phone time is that you lose the control of your brain and you gain it because you have too much stress on your brain. That stress can result in the brain not only becoming weaker but it becomes weaker because you have less self-awareness. The more you use your phone, the more you lose control over your brain and the more you lose control over your behavior.
