I’ve always found that self-awareness is a good thing. We each have a unique way of looking at things, our own strengths and weaknesses, and our own hopes and fears. It’s not always a bad thing that we learn that we have some of our best characteristics and some of our worst.
The same could be said for the behaviors and tendencies that we exhibit. As humans, we all have tendencies that are either good or bad. The best are those that we use to function in a way that supports and helps us grow, while the worst are the ones that we use to function in a way that hurt us.
If we learn to see our strengths and our weaknesses, we can see that we have some of our best strengths and some of our worst. If we learn to see that we have some of our best tendencies, we can see that we have some of our worst tendencies as well. If we learn to see that we have some of our best tendencies, we can learn that we have some of our worst tendencies.
In the video above, Sandhill Hills CEO, Scott Loomis, discussed some of his favorite qualities of an employee, as well as his three personal pet peeves. The thing that stands out to me is that he was unable to give one of the pet peeves for a while.
I’m not entirely sure why he was so resistant to making an exception to his rule, but I suspect it’s because he thinks it’s an irrational pet peeve.
As you might have suspected, the behavioral health issue has been a big topic of conversation over the past couple weeks. I know I myself have been talking a lot about this in one of our weekly video chats and emails, and I hope you can see that it also affects me personally. What I find extremely interesting is that the other side tends to be very defensive about this issue.
I remember the very first time I told someone I was having behavioral health issues, I was told, “Well, you must have had a bad childhood”. I was very embarrassed because I had nothing to say. As it turns out, I didn’t have a bad childhood at all. It was just that my family didn’t know how to handle me, and I didn’t want to share that.
I guess you could say that if your family member doesnt know how to handle you, they shouldnt expect you to share it with them. I suppose that kind of makes sense because some of the most common childhood problems like food poisoning or lack of sleep can be solved in the same way as a bad temper.
That makes one of the most common childhood problems, food poisoning, sound like a pretty simple solution to a very common childhood problem. In fact, it is. All you have to do is eat something that you shouldn’t, and within a few hours, your stomach will be empty. I am a huge proponent of eating healthy foods, and I have been eating them for years.
Of course, food poisoning is a horrible thing, and it happens to all of us at some point. But that doesn’t mean we should throw up our hands and say, “Well, we have all the same problems as everyone else so there’s nothing we can do.” There are a lot of things you can do to get over your eating issues. And even if you’re sick, you can still have a good day.
