I am a student, so I have never been to a health volunteer event before. I am really excited to try the whole thing out and check out what it has to offer.
The health volunteer program at ucla is one of the more unique programs they have. It gives students who are new to college life the opportunity to volunteer in their community. They do this by sending them out to do a project there. They are given a stipend for their work and can be recruited to do additional projects. The purpose of the stipend is to encourage students to get involved in something they really care about.
The goal here is to get people to get involved in their communities. I think it is important to see the difference between a volunteer and a paid worker. While volunteers are paid on a per-hour basis, the volunteers are given stipends to do projects. The stipend money is intended to encourage the volunteers to get involved in something they really care about.
The reason I am saying that is because I have seen volunteer workers of all races and genders perform better in the classroom. The stipends are intended to encourage the student to get involved in the community, but I think there are also reasons to volunteer. Some of the stipends that I have seen go to people who have no interest in school and are simply doing this to get extra money and not because they are trying to make a great impression.
There are so many reasons to volunteer, many of which revolve around the fact that some of the people who volunteer are in pretty bad shape. For instance, a lot of older people with health issues would probably benefit from learning something new. And a lot of volunteering can be just another way to make money, especially if you don’t have to pay the stipend. But many of the volunteers I have seen also do it because they like the community and enjoy interacting with people.
I’m not sure if they’re just volunteering just because they like the community or because they enjoy interacting with people. In either case, they’re doing it because the money is good. And that’s good for the volunteer’s health.
The word “volunteer” in ucla is one of those words that causes people to have to start over and look at what they were doing before they started. So, I guess it’s kind of like the “good cop/bad cop” thing.
The thing is though, that doesn’t make it any more altruistic. It’s just that the people that volunteer are the ones that have to do it. It’s the ones that can’t be there for two more semesters because of their health.
It’s like when you give one of your friends a ride to the airport and then you find out that you can no longer drive because you have diabetes. Or when it’s time to get a new car and the car dealership says it doesn’t want to give it to you because of your insurance.
This is how it goes for me as well. I am a volunteer health care worker. The people I volunteer with are my patients and I help them in whatever way I can. And yet, I also volunteer with a company that I have no control over so its like I am a part of their board of directors, but I also work for them. It doesnt really matter what they say, its what you do that counts.
